古巴，在九十年代頭經歷蘇聯解體、美國禁運制裁，石油的供應絕無僅有。所有機器缺乏燃料，車都少了；種田沒有了農藥、化肥，也沒有燃油發動機器；家裡一日可能有幾小時要停電......一連串的牽帶作用......就是在這環境之下，古巴人向全世界展現了在「石油供應」緊張下人類可持續發展的方向。包括城市規劃，有機農業，公共交通，再生能源開發......最重要的，是人與人之間，合作與希望的故事......

Imagine the day without any oil, what would our city and our lives be?

Cuba – where was dissolved from the Soviet Union in the early 90s and was imposed with embargo by the U.S., only has very limited oil supply. Lack of oil for all machinery, the number of car drops; agriculture without pesticides and chemical fertilizer, and no fuel for machinery operation; out of electricity at home for a few hours everyday….. a chain of connected effects….. Under such a situation, Cuba people show us the direction of sustainable development with the very limited oil supply. It includes urban planning, organic farming, public transportation, renewable energy development, etc. The most important things are the cooperation among people and the hope of human.
